新中国成立以来,我国的考古事业蓬勃发展,难以计数的出土文物,成为研究古代历史的极为重要的实物资料。其中有关古代农业的考古资料(如农作物、动物骨骼和模型、农具、农田模型、农耕图像等)的数量尤为巨大,对研究中国古代农业历史具有非常重要的学术价值,早已引起国内外学术界的高度重视。但是,由于这些资料较为分散,与精美华丽的青铜器、彩陶、瓷器、玉器等相比,它也缺少“艺术性”,不大容易引起一些古物收藏家的注意,因此,至今尚未见有专门的图录出现,这对学术研究来说是很不利的。本书就是为了弥补这个缺憾而编撰的。 Since the founding of New China, archaeological undertakings in our country have flourished and unearthed cultural relics have become an extremely important physical material for studying ancient history.
