In this paper, through comparative study of the representative niche statues of the Yungang Grottoes and the Longmen Grottoes in the middle and later Northern Wei Dynasty, this paper explores the blending of various cultures in the middle and late Northern Wei Dynasty. This paper compares the grotto shape and the cave image which can best represent the niche statues. Through a series of comparative studies, it is clear that in the process of continuous Chinese-style Chinese grotto art, there are always three kinds of cultures that are constantly blending. It is the continuous blending of these three cultures that has created the unique appearance of Buddhist grottoes in our country.
