国家图书馆二期工程暨国家数字图书馆工程,是国家重点文化建设项目,位于北京市海淀区中关村南大街和五塔寺路交界口,现国家图书馆大楼北侧。其主要建设内容有:密集型藏书库、阅览室、图书加工用房、学术交流用房、读者餐厅、珍品图书保存库和展示厅、图书馆行政用房、办公用房、地下停车库、公共区域和数字图书馆的大型计算机机房、数字资源存储机房、数字处理间及数字图书馆辅助用房等,是一座设计新颖、施工精细的智能型、节能型、环保型的现代化数字图书馆。
