针对牵引机牵引头夹持挤压制品时既要保证挤压制品受力均匀,又要适用于不同形状和尺寸的问题,介绍了一种牵引头结构,并阐述了该牵引头及其压片的设计原理和工作过程。依据牵引头及其压片设计要求,推导出牵引头压片外形轮廓的曲线方程,利用三维设计软件生成了压片外形轮廓曲线,并截取所需曲线段生成压片模型。将该方法应用于铝挤压机牵引机牵引头压片零件三维设计,现场使用情况表明:牵引头可实现对挤压制品的平稳牵引,制品质量合格。
