Performance Evaluation Techniques and Their Theoretical Origins Performance evaluation techniques emerged in the 1970s and originated mainly from procedural instruction and teaching system design. Harold Stolovitch and Erica Keeps, in their book, Human Performance Technology Handbook, state: “Performance, which represents a quantitative result or set of achievements, it also refers to what it takes to complete, implement, and perform a given task, What has been done or done, what has been achieved, what has happened, or what has been done or done. ”This shows that performance includes not only goals but also behaviors and abilities that improve.
