The shipwreck incident at Lisbon Bay in October 1942 is a historical issue that deserves our further study. The in-depth study of this issue can not only make up for the academic gap between China’s anti-Japanese history, the history of the coastal anti-Japanese war and the modern history of Zhejiang, but also reveal the inextricable links between the various battlefields of World War II, like many other major events in World War II. However, what is even more important is that it helps to change the extent to which foreign scholars in the history of World War II have always ignored the progress and due status of the Chinese battlefield in World War II and promoted the further development of the research on World War II history in the world.
