4月25日,望虞河一期工程沙墩口土方工程以优良等级通过省级验收,这是我省苏南地区大型河道土方工程首次机械化施工的成功尝试.望虞河沙墩口段是太湖洪水入江口门,原有河道断面狭窄,去年特大洪涝期间曾炸坝泄洪.一期工程工长1.6km,河底宽40m,底高-1m(吴淞基面),土方35.4×10~4m~3,工程实施后可满足汛期泄洪150m~3/s的要求.该工程基本上沿老河道开挖,河床表面及两岸坑塘淤土厚度一般为0.5~1.5m,呈流态并夹砖杂.土层高程+3~0m间有粘土质高塑态夹层淤土,厚度1~3.5m左右,含水量超过40%.施工期间,冬季遇雨雪冰冻等恶劣气候,3月中旬起又遭连续降雨,在140天的施工期间先后两次
