潘知常认为,立足“价值-意义”框架,生命美学是研究进入审美关系的人类生命活动的意义与价值之学。它不但在美学问题上立一家之言,而且具备了在美学问题的思考层面的较为广阔的理论前景与阐释空间。封孝伦认为,立足于“生命”方能对“美本质”进行普适性界定。美是人的生命追求的精神实现,生命美学可合理化解美学中的难题。林早则指出,世纪之交是中国现代生命美学理论体系建构的高峰期,此后生命美学应用性研究迅猛发展。中国传统生命美学研究的丰硕显示了传统美学资源与现代生命美学理论建构之间的丰富可能,而西方生命哲学美学研究成果的薄弱则启发我们重思生命美学的现代性。

It not only sets a speech on aesthetic issues, but also possesses a vast theoretical foreground and interpretation space on the thinking of aesthetic problems. Feng Xiaolun believes that based on “life ” can be “beauty ” universal definition. Beauty is the spiritual pursuit of the pursuit of human life, life aesthetics can be a reasonable solution to the problems in aesthetics. Lin earlier pointed out that the turn of the century is the peak of the construction of the theoretical system of modern life aesthetics in China. Since then, the applied research of life aesthetics has developed rapidly. The rich research on the traditional life aesthetics in China shows the rich possibility between the traditional aesthetics resources and the construction of modern life aesthetics theory. However, the weakness of western philosophical aesthetics research inspires us to rethink the modernity of life aesthetics.
