2002年,处于逆境中的百年老港烟台港提出了“二次创业工程”的构想,计划用6年时间实现港口腾飞。经过2年的努力,2003年港口主要经济指标大幅度飙升,超额完成计划目标。今年上半年完成货物吞吐量1628万吨,集装箱12.6万标箱,旅客吞吐量144.9万人次,分别比去年同期增长41％、24％和38％,这一成果,源自我国外贸进出口和区域经济的带动,更有来自港口内在的强劲动力。
In 2002, the adventurous century-old port of Yantai in Hong Kong put forward the concept of “second pioneering project” and planned to take off in six years. After two years of hard work, the major economic indicators of the port in 2003 surged to surpass the planned targets. In the first half of this year, the cargo throughput reached 16.28 million tons and container 126,000 TEU with a passenger throughput of 1,449,000 passengers, up 41%, 24% and 38% respectively over the same period of previous year. This result was derived from the import and export of foreign trade of our country and the region Economic drive, but also from the port’s inherent strong momentum.
