T10A碳素工具钢成本低,加工性能良好,可用来制作冷冲压模具,如枪弹生产中弹壳、弹头的冷冲压模具。但这种工具钢淬透性差,在激冷淬火时,变形大,易开裂。对于体积较小,内孔形状不规则的模具,要求淬火后变形小。为此可采用深层加热浅层淬火工艺,使模具工作部分的内表面为马氏体组织,心部是索氏体、屈氏体组织,外表面为正火珠光体加渗碳组织,从而使模具工作部分有较高的硬度、强度及耐磨性,其它部位又有一定韧性,淬火变形小,又避免开裂。其工艺措施如下。
