The effect of copper on recrystallization texture of copper-containing low carbon aluminum killed steel was studied. The copper content was 0-0.355% and the sample was 1.0 mm thick cold-rolled sheet. X-ray pole density measurement, plastic strain ratio measurement and metallographic etching pit method show that with the increase of copper content, {111} textured elements that are favorable to deep drawing performance are enhanced, especially when the copper content exceeds the solid solubility When more pronounced. In a sample containing 0.355% Cu, a fine ε-Cu phase was observed near the dislocation line by a transmission electron microscope. The precipitation of the ε-Cu phase is thought to be the cause of the {111} texture enhancement.
