据美国农业部预估,2018/2019年度美国皮棉总产达400.4万t(1839万包,1包≈217.728kg)。其中:陆地棉皮棉产量预测为383.1万t(1760万包),超长绒棉(Extra-longstaplecotton,ELS)皮棉产量为17.3万t(79.4万包)。棉花收获面积为426.1万hm^2(1053万英亩,1英亩≈0.404686hm^2),弃收面积144.5万hm^2(357万英亩),弃收率达25.31%。平均皮棉单产为939.3kg·hm-2(每英亩838磅,1磅≈0.45
