浦东,作为改革开放的前沿,最先浮现在人们脑海里的,也许都是那些最具现代气息的城市景观,20年开发开放的成就令人振奋和骄傲。而留存在这片土地上的许多优秀传统建筑,与刚刚建成的这片现代建筑交相辉映。作为历史的记忆和文化传承的载体,它们记忆着浦东悠久的历史文脉,也是今天浦东弥足珍贵的财富。其中有两幢特殊结构的住宅建筑,寓居着两位对浦东做出过杰出贡献的名人——杨斯盛和艾可久。近代建筑营造业一代宗师杨斯盛一、砌灶人行,办杨瑞泰营造厂杨斯盛(彩图34),生于清咸丰元年(1851年),今浦东新区北蔡镇青墩村杨家宅的一个农民家庭。他父母早逝,从小靠婶娘抚养,家境贫寒,衣不蔽体,食不果腹。13岁那年,婶娘为他变卖了一只老母鸡,他将所得 Pudong, as the forefront of reform and opening up, first emerged in people’s minds, perhaps the most modern urban landscape.
