目前,在普通高等院校一部分学生中,由于身体发育或健康状况有差异,有的不能做上肢运动,有的不能做下肢运动,有的运动量不能太大。这就无法完成普通体育课的教学计划,这既影响他们锻炼身体,也妨碍他们学习任务的完成。因而根据他们的实际情况和各自的机能状态,利用适当的方式,选用恰当的教材,采取特殊的手段,有针对性地促使其身体机能不断改善,提高他们的健康水平,就成为体育教学中一个不可忽视的特殊任务。
