“应试教育”和“素质教育”既是两种内涵完全不同的教育理念和模式,也是两种对教育本质截然相反的价值理解和判断。前者认为教育的主要目的是帮助学生掌握知识,后者则主张教育应促进人的全面发展。对于某一门具体课程(比如思想政治课),是应坚持应试教育为学生考试服务,还是应着眼于提升学生的综合素质而促进其全面发展?教育中是侧重于两者中的哪一方,还是两者并重共同推进?对于这些问题的解答,顾润生老师在理性思考和现实考量的基础上为我们作了很好的诠释。
“Exam-oriented education” and “quality education” are not only two completely different educational concepts and modes, but also two diametrically opposite values of understanding and judgment on the nature of education. The former believes that the main purpose of education is to help students acquire knowledge, while the latter advocates that education should promote people’s all-round development. For a specific course (such as ideological and political courses), should insist on exam-oriented education for student exam service, or should focus on improving the overall quality of students to promote their all-round development? Education is focused on either of them, Or both to push forward both? For these answers, Gu Run-sheng teacher made a good interpretation of us on the basis of rational thinking and realistic considerations.
