工艺美术教育在艺术教育中占有重要地位,随着经济的发展和改革的深入,尤其是近年来工艺美术教育发展迅速,人才需要量呈逐年上升趋势,全国工艺美术院校及其它院校中的工艺美术设计专业有如雨后春笋发展很快。在这种形势面前如何进一步办好工艺美术教育,如何贯彻《中国教育改革和发展纲要》(下称《纲要》),确实是摆在我们面前的重要课题。 当前,工艺美术教育改革关系到一代跨世纪人才的培养,关系到未来工艺美术事业发展、技术、风格、艺术的延续性和连贯性,及整体素质。《纲要》的颁布,为教育发展制定了纲领性文件。社会稳定,物质文化水平有了一定的基础,能否抓住这个有利时机,是搞好工艺美术教育改革的关键。目前,全国各艺术院校已就专业结构、教学内容、管理体制、招生分配等作了大量调查研究,逐步进行改革探索,各院校各项改革举措纷纷 Arts and crafts education occupies an important position in art education.
