自由是人的本性。儿童首先是作为人的存在,之后才是作为儿童的存在,因此自由是儿童存在的本性。作为大自然中的一员,儿童是按自然的普遍法则而自由发展的,同时他们又以其独有的方式主动建构着自己的世界,在社会中他们也同样是被承认的拥有自身权利的社会主体。当前教育中无视儿童权利的现象十分严重,现实状况亟待成人改变对儿童自由的错误认识和态度,以利于儿童健康、快乐地发展。
