矿业对我国国民经济的发展至关重要,是社会主义现代化建设所需要的主要能源和原材料的提供者。优先发展露天开采是各国矿业的一条重要技术政策,加快露天采矿的发展以满足本世纪末工农业总产值翻两番对矿业的要求,是我们露天采矿战线的一项光荣艰巨的任务。《露天采矿》面临这种新形势而复刊,无疑肩负着历史的使命。作为露天采煤战线的一兵,对其复刊表示衷心祝贺。愿她成为广大露天采矿工作者的良师益友。
Mining is of vital importance to the development of our national economy and the main source of energy and raw materials needed for the socialist modernization drive. To give priority to the development of open-pit mining is an important technical policy for mining industry in various countries. To speed up the development of open-pit mining to meet the requirements for mining industry to quadruple the gross industrial and agricultural output by the end of this century is a glorious and arduous task for our open-pit mining.
