费孝通先生在社会学、人类学和民族学领域的贡献早已得到广泛承认,但他作为社会科学翻译家所取得的成就尚未引起足够的关注。实际上,费孝通的译作在我国社会学和人类学的发展和重建过程中曾发挥过重要作用,其翻译理念和翻译态度在今天仍不乏借鉴价值。
