产品的形态设计作为产品设计中一个重要的方面,它所承载的功能是种类各异也是显而易见的。任何一个产品的形态,都同时是使用功能和审美功能和载体。因此,我们讨论一个产品形态的功能价值必须从实用功能和审美功能两个角度来进行。此外,产品的形态还具有传递信息的功能,即人们通过观察产品的形态,能从中获得关于产品的属性、使用方式、功能特点、象征含义等方面的语意和信息。另外,产品的形态在某种特定的情况下还具有传达文化内涵、隐含哲学态度、关注社会意义等其它功能。
