1983年,老院长赵乙为培养锻炼青年演员,带领我们临汾蒲剧院青年团走出山西,到成都、重庆、武汉等地演出,一路都受到观众欢迎,使我们大开眼界,也使我们增强了信心。继后又带我们晋京演出,当时我只有19岁。我1980年戏校毕业分配到临汾蒲剧院,曾随张庆奎老师等到北京演出,可那时候只是站站边,跑个宫女。这一次我可是要正式面对首都的专家和观众,兴奋得几夜都没睡好觉。我们常听赵院长说,50年代初,蒲剧参加第一届全国戏曲汇演,王秀兰老师就得过奖,后来蒲剧每到北京演出,评价都很高。我心里不觉又有些紧张。我们这一伙年轻娃娃,可不敢给蒲剧抹黑。
