In the comparative study of food safety regulation, the significance of the British case has the following three aspects. First, since the modern era, Britain’s legislation on adulteration of food adulterated after the industrial revolution has still been inherited and developed by the Food Law Law of some countries. For example, the United States has followed the UK’s article on food adulteration and doping. Because of this, the UK is considered a pioneer in modern food legislation. Second, the mad cow disease that took place in the United Kingdom in the 1980s and spread to other EU countries and the resulting food safety crisis prompted a complete reform of the EU’s food safety regulations.
