The reasons and lessons learned from the gradual decline of the world socialist movement from climax to low ebb are worth further study. The socialist countries lack a clear understanding of and effective countermeasures to the profound changes in the international environment after World War II. They think that capitalism has many contradictions, but it ignores the maximization of Western countries to unite to form a united political and military system headed by the United States. The military confrontations of the western countries neglected their policy of peaceful evolution. They regarded imperialism as decadently dying capitalism but ignored the rise of the three major wave of new scientific and technological revolution, economic globalization and democratization in the world. They believed that capitalism is in the total During the crisis, however, it ignored its long-term and steady development. When it saw the crisis of war, it missed the opportunity of peaceful development. It is difficult for the Soviet model to continuously liberate its productive forces and arouse people’s political enthusiasm. The socialist countries have been locked in the state for a long time and their economic development and scientific and technological progress have been affected. The Soviet Union’s reform in Eastern Europe did not fundamentally solve the problem. The socialist exploration in developed countries and developing countries was stagnant. The division of the international communist movement made the world socialist movement start from a climax to a low ebb.
