In “Three Colors,” Kiezheh creatively casts two opposing film genres, documentary and expressive, together to form his own unique “poetic movie” style. The former focuses more on the style of Keegan’s writing. This paper focuses on the expression of Kiefer’s expressionist style of film in the “three colors” by seizing the elements of color, light, sound and repetitive techniques.
