1958年我在青岛一中高中毕业,报高考志愿,不假思索就填上了北京大学中文系;然而临考前教导主任张老师通知我:你被保送进人山东大学中文系了。当时我心里还有些不情愿(好高骛远,颇为自负,今觉可笑),这位素有文学修养的张老师说,山大中文系不比北大中文系差,那里有陆侃如、冯沅君、高亨、萧涤非等著名教授,还有一位朗诵诗人高兰,曾经当过系主任,都是全国顶尖儿的。这样,我就在山东大学接受了学术启蒙。
