铬渣在过去一直被人认是废物而扔掉,无产阶级文化大革命中,遵照毛主席关于“综合利用大有文章可做”的伟大教导,我们对铬渣进行了仔细的分析,反复的试验,终于给铬渣找出了新出路。现在已得到了广泛的应用,使废物变成了宝。炉外法生产金属铬过去一直是用铸铁炉壳,内砌镁砖进行冶炼。这种方法要消耗大量的镁砂、镁砖、铸铁炉壳。为了节省镁砖、镁砂和铸铁炉壳,改进炉衬,一九六九年我们学习了兄弟厂的经验,结合自己的实际情况,试验成功了用铬渣打结炉衬的新方法。

Based on our own actual situation, we successfully tested the new method of lining the lining with chromium slag.
