《朝花夕拾》原名《旧事重提》,是鲁迅先生所作的惟一一部回忆散文集。本文以杨宪益所译《朝花夕拾》英译本为分析文本,以目的论为理论基础,重点分析在跨文化交流过程中,杨宪益夫妇是如何处理文化负载词的翻译的。文化负载词是一个国家一个民族文化的缩影和焦点,如何向西方读者忠实地传播中国特有的文化是翻译过程需要考虑的重要问题。同时这个问题也是杨宪益夫妇在翻译过程中一直所重视的。本论文将试析在翻译过程中杨宪益夫妇是如何采取多种翻译策略从而达到自己忠实地向西方读者传播中国优秀文化的翻译目的。 Formerly known as “Recalling the Old Customs,” the only book of retrospective essays by Mr. Lu Xun. Based on Skopos theory, this essay focuses on the analysis of how Yang Xianyi and his wife handle the translation of culturally loaded words in cross-cultural communication. Culturally loaded words are the epitome and focal point of a nation’s culture. How to faithfully spread Chinese culture to Western readers is an important issue that needs to be considered in the translation process. At the same time, this issue is also Yang Xianyi couple has always been valued in the translation process. This thesis attempts to analyze how Yang Xianyi and his wife adopted multiple translation strategies in their translation so as to achieve the purpose of their translation of Chinese excellent culture faithfully to Western readers.
