On February 7, 1954, in a small, dirty and cold little room in New York’s “ground floor”, American writer Maxwell Bodenham and his wife were killed. In the 1920s and 1930s, Bodenham was a little famous in the United States. The New York Times said that his writing has a “stern realism” style and that he is “a fierce, uncompromising critic of the existing social system.” The upright writer also participated in the struggles of unemployed workers in the progressive organization of the United States and the economic crisis of the 1930s. It is for this reason that U.S. publishers, since 1940, have refused to publish Popengim’s book that exposed the darkness of American society and thrown him into the “Rangers.” Bodenheim was arrested by the police during his stray career, overreaching the bar window flavor. Later, life is really unable to maintain, he had to dress as a blind man begging along the street.
