清朝是蒙古文翻译史上的黄金时期,蒙古族地区出现了大量汉文书籍的蒙古文译本,有正史、儒家经典,也有很多汉族古典小说。到了清朝中后期,汉文文学的蒙译活动更是达到了前所未有的盛况,大量的汉文小说被翻译成蒙古文,并广泛流传于蒙古族地区,受到广大蒙古族读者的喜爱。尤其是《今古奇观》,其蒙古文译本是清朝时期汉文小说翻译活动成功的代表作之一,本研究是以乌兰巴秅版蒙古文译本《今古奇观》为例,来分析清代汉文小说蒙译的概况。
The Qing Dynasty was the golden age in the history of Mongolian translation. There appeared a large number of Mongolian translations of Chinese books in Mongolian areas. These included orthodox history, Confucian classics, and many Han classical novels. By the middle and late Qing Dynasty, the Mongolian literary translation activity reached an unprecedented grand occasion. A large number of Chinese novels were translated into Mongolian language and widely circulated in the Mongolian minority area. They were favored by the majority of Mongolian readers. In particular, the “Ancient and Modern Wonders”, the Mongolian translation of which is one of the representative works of successful translation activities of Chinese novels during the Qing dynasty, this study is based on Ulanba’s Mongolian version of " An Overview of Meng Translation.
