吴冰一到北京就给我们一个非常新的印象,这印象不是来自于他个人,而是来自于他的画面。他的画面给我的感觉。第一,他的花鸟画大部分都很大,那尺幅远远超过我们对花鸟画的认识,因为我们无论在古典绘画里面,还是当代花鸟画里面看到的尺幅都很小。浙江和南京的花鸟画比较发达,但是也都不大,多半是玩赏性的、把玩性的一个尺寸。我想对花鸟画的突破想在这两个省之内完成,是非常有难度的,因为他们在这方面的传统太强大,反而从边缘突破可能是一条途径。 Wu Bingyi’s visit to Beijing gives us a very new impression.
