二次世界大战后,香港保险业迅速发展,七十年代经济的繁荣.又为保险业创造了极为良好的发展条件,各种保险公司雨后春笋般涌现,外资保险公司也纷纷在港设立分公司,一些贸易商行、地产商行也兼营保险业务,许多银行和财务公司亦附设保险公司。列1981年初,获准在香港经营的保险公司竟达340多家。为了保障投资者的树益,港英政府逐步加强了对保险业的管制。1978年2月通过的条例规
After the Second World War, Hong Kong’s insurance industry developed rapidly and its economy prospered in the 1970s. It also created extremely favorable conditions for the development of the insurance industry. Various insurance companies have sprung up and foreign insurance companies have set up branch offices in Hong Kong. Some traders, real estate firms also run insurance business, many banks and finance companies also have insurance companies.
