日本镰仓圆觉寺内标有鲁迅所赠的两棵树,可证1930年代鲁迅和日本佛教界间确有交往。但包括鲁迅本人在内的各界人士一向对此似均有所回避。或许鲁迅在赠树之后又逢日寇逼华更急,乃基于国族立场和自身考量,而选择疏远了日本的佛教界。这一现象说明:在两国交往空间日益压缩的时代语境中,鲁迅作为现代知识分子,只能进行国族意识大于一切的人生选择;这对于诸多相似经历的留日知识分子而言,显然具有某种普遍性。
In Kamakura, Japan, there are two trees on the inside of the Yujue Temple, which Lu Xun donated. It shows that there was indeed a contact between Lu Xun and the Japanese Buddhist community in the 1930s. However, people from all walks of life, including Lu Xun himself, have always avoided this. Perhaps Lu Xun once again conquered China even after the tree was donated. It was based on the national standpoint and on its own considerations, and chose to alienate the Japanese Buddhist community. This phenomenon shows that Lu Xun, as a modern intellectual, can only make a life choice that has more national consciousness than any other in the context of the times when the space for exchanges between the two countries is shrinking day by day. To many Japanese intellectuals with similar experiences, Has some sort of universality.
