有我国10多位专家、学者参加的民革中央“加快珠江航运建设,促进流域经济发展”参政议政考察调研活动于最近结束。记者随同考察组从珠江归来,征尘未洗,赶写了这组稿。加快珠江航运建设，把珠江建成我国西南和华南地区出海水运主通道，是党中央和国务院的战略决策，对我国加大对外开放力度，实施由沿海向内地中西部地区倾抖的经济发展战略，实施“八七”扶贫攻坚计划，开发大西南丰富资源，缩小沿海地区与中西部地区经济发展的差距，振兴中华有着重要的作用。然而，目前西南地区物产源和珠江水资源的开发程度并不令人满意。正视珠江航运今天的问题，也正是为了更好地描绘珠江明天的美景。加快开发珠江腹地和珠江航运的巨大潜力，唤起民族的水运意识，剖析问题的症结，寻求正确解决问题的途径，正是这次考察活动的目的，也是我们发表这篇报道的意图所在。加快珠江航运建设，促进流域资源的开发，繁荣流域经济，是一篇大文章，需要各方面的专家、学者及有关方面的同志一起来做。这组报道所涉及的，只能是这篇大文章的一部分。今后，我们将继续就此作进一步的探讨。
With the participation of more than 10 experts and scholars from China, the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Reform Central Committee, “Accelerating the Construction of the Pearl River Shipping and Promoting the Economic Development of the Pearl River Basin” has recently concluded its investigation and study on the participation in politics and deliberation. Reporter with the inspection team returned from the Pearl River, the dust was not washed, write the group draft. Speeding up the construction of the Pearl River shipping and establishing the Pearl River as the main channel for sea and water transport to the southwest and south China’s regions is a strategic decision made by the Central Party Committee and the State Council. It intensifies the opening-up to our country and implements the strategy of economic development from the coastal areas to the central and western regions in the interior. The implementation of the “August 7” Poverty Alleviation Project, the development of the abundant resources in the southwestern part of Southwest China, the reduction of the disparity in economic development between the coastal areas and the central and western regions, and the revitalization of China have an important role to play. However, the current development of water resources in the southwest region and Pearl River is unsatisfactory. Looking squarely at the issue of Pearl River Shipping today, it is precisely to better portray the beauty of Pearl River tomorrow. To speed up the development of the great potential of the Pearl River Delta and the Pearl River shipping, to arouse people’s awareness of water transport, to analyze the crux of the problem and to find a proper solution to the problem, is precisely the purpose of the inspection and the intent of our report. To speed up the construction of the Pearl River shipping, to promote the development of basin resources and to promote the economy of the basin will be a big article and need all experts, scholars and relevant comrades to work together. This set of stories covers only part of this big article. In the future, we will continue to explore this issue further.
