亚里士多德在《诗学》中提出的“净化说”在卡西尔看来具有审美向度,意指在对悲剧艺术形式的直观中解除情感的物质重负,进而照见生命内在的自由。通过比较,我们认为,卡西尔的观点与庄子对美的讨论有汇通之处,具体体现在三方面:传“道”之言的性质与传“道”的方式;“心斋”/“坐忘”的审美心胸;“游”的审美境界。
