The source of the world’s silk is in the Qian Mountain, a cultural site in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, where hazelnuts were discovered from 4,200 to 4,400 years ago. This is the earliest silkworm silk we have found so far in the world. Qian Shan Yang cultural site is located in Huzhou City, 7 km south of Lu Village ancient village.
