错齿丝锥,借鉴错齿二面刃铣刀的切削原理,是金属分屑作用在丝锥结构上的体现;在丝锥轴线的螺旋面上,前后两个相邻的牙齿的侧刃左右错开,其运动轨迹构成螺旋角,依次、交错地完成内螺纹沟槽的两侧面的加工,其切屑过程具有分屑作用,每个牙齿的另一侧则与己加工内螺纹之间存在间隙,便于润滑并减少扭矩,而主切削则仍由丝锥的每个牙齿的顶刃完成。这种结构易于利用标准丝锥改制;较好地解决了卡、抱、断、掉等常见现象;生产率高,加工质量好,寿命比标标丝锥长三倍。
