王船祭是闽南人为适应海洋生活在明代形成的祭祀神明、超度亡魂、洁净空间、祈求平安的大型仪式,其仪式过程有请王、造王船、竖灯篙、祀王、宴王、巡境、迁船、送王(烧王船)等。在“海上丝绸之路”沿岸的国家如印尼、马来西亚的沿海地带,当地的闽南籍华侨和华人从清代以来就在那里举办这种富有闽南人文
Wang Shiping is a large ritual ceremony of southern Fujian people who adapted to the marine life in the Ming Dynasty to worship the gods, overthrow the dead souls, clean the space and pray for peace.
