There have been many reports on the spectroscopic study of anthracene, but so far the work in this area is still quite active. Some problems have not yet been clarified yet for further study. In the linear fused-ring aromatic compounds, the minimum excited singlet state of benzene and tea with ring number 1 and 2 is ~ 1L_b state and the second excited state is ~ 1L_a state. Theoretical calculations and experimental results have confirmed this conclusion. However, the theoretical calculations show that the minimum excited singlet of anthracene with ring number 3 should be ~ 1L_a state and the second excited singlet should be ~ 1L_b state, which happens to be reversed with the former. Unfortunately, one has not yet experimentally determined the presence of anthracene ~ 1L_b state. To this end, this article measured 77K
