在长江中游这么一个重要的地方,发现这么一个时代相当早的完整的城市,一大批学者,包括我个人在内,都始料未及。今天的武汉三镇,正处长江和汉水交汇的地方,因其所处的地理位置,它对全国政治、经济、文化都有非常重要的影响。古代在同样位置出现盘龙城,不是偶然的,它和后来的武汉三镇具有不可分割的联系。 At such an important place in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, we have found that a complete city with a rather early age and a large number of scholars, including myself, were unprepared. The three towns of Wuhan today are at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Han River. Due to their geographical location, they have a very important influence on the politics, economy and culture of the whole country. It was no accidental that the ancient Panlongcheng was in the same position, and it had an inseparable connection with the later three towns of Wuhan.
