1 Preface The seismic reflection amplitude analysis of thermal strata can provide a clearer understanding of the complex stratigraphic characteristics within the flow cell and thus improve the reservoir description accuracy (see Figure 1). A deep understanding of reservoir characteristics and vapor movement in the reservoir makes it possible to quickly determine the reasons for poor production dynamics in steam flooding and single oil sand bodies.
