α淀粉是由玉米、马铃薯、木薯等经糊化干燥而成的一种变性淀粉,它在冷水中可溶解膨胀,有一定的粘度,可直接应用。美、英等国称之为预凝胶淀粉,日本则称为α淀粉。早在60年代,国外在铸造生产中就已采用α淀粉来提高铸件尺寸精度和表面质量,改善砂芯的铸造性能。我厂采用的是吉林省轻工业设计研究院(下简称轻工院)研制的玉米改性α淀粉,其pH值、α化率、粘度、膨胀度、水分等主要技术指标,达到或接近国际水平。该淀粉在我厂铸铝弯管、合金铸铁上压缩环等铸件的生产中进行了试用,其结果如下。一、α淀粉型砂的工艺性能讨论 Alpha starch is a modified starch made from corn, potato, cassava and other gelatinized and dried.
