长根菇又名长根金钱菌,其外型很象鸡(土从)菌,故山野盛产长根菇的云南省民间又称为“草鸡”或“露水鸡(土从)”。它属担子菌纲,伞菌目,口蘑科,金钱菌属(长根菇属)学名 Collybia radi-cata(Relh.ex Fr.)Quel.菌丝具分枝分隔,有锁状联合,菌丝体白色,绒毛状。子实体多为群生,也有单生。菌盖初为半球形,边缘内卷,深褐色,之后菌盖平展,淡咖啡色,直径7～15厘米。菌肉白色。菌褶白色至淡灰色与菌柄离生。菌柄中生,深褐色有小麻点,实心而脆,直径1～3厘米,长10～20厘米,
