豫花二号是濮阳市农科所(原濮阳试验站)以“642-3-15×642-6-3”杂交选育而成。原代号为濮阳77-4,1988年4月经河南省农农物品种审定委员会审定通过,并命名为豫花二号。豫花二号的生育期,春播125～135天,夏播(套种)115～125天;株高30～40厘米,幼苗长势中等,后期长势强,不早衰,属直立密植型;交替开花;叶小、色绿,椭圆形;茎较细但韧性好,不易倒伏;荚果饱满整
