7月19日,“威马逊”袭击海南第二天,面对树倒墙倾、断水断电、道路堵塞、大水漫街的危难局面,在海口市委、市政府的统一指挥下,海口市文明办、市志愿服务工作委员会(简称市志工委)迅速行动,全面部署,通过报纸、广播、电视、微博、微信等媒体发布倡议书,号召全市广大志愿者积极行动起来,参与灾后救助、恢复和重建工作。灾后8天来,全市共有1万多名志愿者参加道路清障、抢修线路等志愿服务工作,成为灾后恢复重建的一支重要力量。他们用真情真爱和实际行动践行着社会主义核心价值观,彰显了城市大爱,受到广大群众一致好评。
