贝格曼发现的居延汉简中有一枚“河渠卒”的名籍简,引起了水利研究者的重视。新刊肩水金关汉简中除了两枚“河渠卒”的简外,还有数枚“治渠卒”的名籍简。通过分析简文格式,考查简牍字形,可以确认居延汉简和肩水金关汉简中的“河渠卒”其实是“治渠卒”的误释。史籍记载的“河渠”一词,“河”是指黄河而言。“河渠卒”的称谓,不符合居延地区的水利状况。
