地球历1999年，一艘外星飞船坠落地球，人类从此踏上漫长的太空探索之旅……
首播25年后，与高达并驾齐驱、同为Mecha（机械类动画）两大主流之一的Macross新一代舰队终于启程。这个春天，载着歌声、爱情与热血，无惧纷飞的战火，我们向银河中心进发吧！
In 2059, Macross Frontier, the new
colonial[殖民的] fleet[舰队], set out to explore the Milky Way. The fleet includes a city ship and peripheral[外围的] ships providing needs such as farming, industry, resorts[度假胜地] and military defense. Capable of housing over 10 million people, Frontier is the biggest
fleet we’ve seen in the series.
When talking about Macross, we can’t forget singers that will save the world in one way or another. After all, it’s always a theme in the series – humans traveling across space and the power of song bringing civilizations together. The production team actually went through 5,000 selections to pick the newcomer Megumi Nakashima, who gets the role of Ranka Lee, our ordinary heroine working part-time in a Chinese restaurant.
As the story goes, Ranka runs into Saotome Alto (our hero) on the way to superstar Sheryl Nome’s concert, which is broken off when aliens attack the fleet. The classic fighter design looks as good today as it did 25 years ago. Space dogfights[混战] and flying missiles look amazing, thanks to the very, very nice use of CG注1. I just hope it doesn’t
get sloppy[马虎的] along the way. Those fancy fighters aren’t cheap to render注2,
so I’m not sure whether the budget will last for the whole anime.
On the other hand, being the 25th anniversary[周年]
of the franchise[特许经营权], could Macross Frontier
finally tie up the loose ends[未了结的部分] left by its
predecessors[前任] and lead us to something new? But one thing is for sure – the trip on Frontier looks to be a promisingly[有希望地] fun ride!
2059年，新的殖民舰队——超时空要塞“边界”开始其银河探索之旅。舰队包括一艘都市船和多艘外围船，外围船为人们提供各种生活需要，如农业、工业、度假胜地、军事防御等。“边界”能容纳一千万人以上，是我们在“超时空要塞”系列中见过最大的舰队。
每当提及“超时空要塞”，我们都会想起那些总能用某种方式拯救世界的歌手。毕竟，这个系列的主题一直是人类穿越太空的旅程，以及歌声能将各种文明融为一体的力量。制作组确实找了5000名候选人才挑选出新人中岛爱为兰卡·李配音——我们的女主角兰卡是个在中餐馆兼职的平凡女孩。
故事讲述了兰卡在参加巨星谢莉尔·诺姆的演唱会途中遇到男主角早乙女有斗，此时演唱会却因外星生物袭击船队被迫中断。即使在今天看来，战斗机的经典造型也和25年前一样棒。多亏了CG动画的绝妙运用，太空混战和导弹飞舞的景象犹为壮观。我只希望这不会随着故事发展而逐渐变样。那些漂亮的战机渲染起来可不便宜呢，我真不晓得制作预算能不能维持整套动画。
另一方面，作为这个系列品牌的25周年纪念作，《超时空要塞－边界》能不能把前作没完的地方交待清楚，带给我们全新的内容呢？但至少有一点是可以肯定的——搭乘“边界”看来一定会是一趟趣味盎然的旅程！
注1：computer graphics（电脑图形）的缩写，主要指数码图象。
注2：render本身有“给……抹灰打底”的意思，此处指3D动画基本步骤之一的渲染技术，即建立3D模型之后，根据动作进行分镜，再通过程序计算出环境中不同光源对物体的影响。

《反叛的鲁路修 R2》
看点：近年来少见的超人气原创动画（介绍见CE: Teens 2007年4月号“动漫后援会”），新一季更增加了新角色和新设定，有可能不关注吗？
《噬魂师》
看点：“钢炼”原班人马炮制，原作漫画从人物设定、世界观到故事情节都个性十足，很有机会像当年的“火影”、“死神”、“驱魔”那样引领新潮流。
《图书馆战争》
看点：日本2006年度十佳科幻小说之一，讲述主人公对抗不合理法律、守护书籍的故事。作品本身很有深度，只要动画效果理想就有希望成为黑马。
《迷宫塔》
看点：改编自南梦宫（NAMCO）经典街机RPG，由著名动画公司GONZO制作，班底一流，设定精致，故事成熟，关键在于动画能不能呈现出游戏的超凡魅力……
