翻译是一种跨语言、跨文化的交流活动,它不仅是语言的转换,更确切的说是文化的转换。词汇是一个国家语言和文化的基础,它反映文化,同时文化也影响着词汇的变化。不同文化导致不同语言中词汇的不同。本文主要研究词汇空缺在文化方面的体现和解决策略。通过研究,作者发现词汇空缺的形成与一个国家的地理环境、政治环境、行为习惯、宗教信仰、价值观念和意识形态都有着密不可分的关系,它们影响和制约着词汇的变化。我们只有深入研究词汇空缺现象在文化层面的不同表现及对翻译的重大影响,了解其蕴含的文化内涵,才能提出各种应对措施来解决翻译中存在的大量词汇空缺问题。
Translation is a cross-language, cross-cultural communication activities, it is not only the language conversion, more precisely, cultural conversion. Vocabulary is the basis of a country’s language and culture, which reflects culture, while culture also affects the change of vocabulary. Different cultures lead to different words in different languages. This article mainly studies the cultural expression and solution strategies of vocabulary vacancies. Through the research, the author finds that the formation of the vocabulary vacancy has a close relationship with a country’s geographical environment, political environment, behavior, religious belief, values and ideology, which influence and constrain the change of the vocabulary. Only by thoroughly studying the different cultural manifestations and significant influences on the translation of the vacancy phenomenon in our country and knowing the cultural connotations contained in it can various measures be taken to solve the large number of vacancies in translation.
