The results show that the annual output of oil in China reached 203 million tons in 2011, rising from the 5th to the 4th in the world. The annual output of natural gas has risen from 17th to 6th in the world. Due to the technological advances in oil and gas exploration and development as well as the substantial increase in investment, it is estimated that the oil and gas output in China will exceed 600 million tons of oil equivalent and oil in 2030
