McGiu University began working on an automated engineering project in 1984 to include its 22 libraries in its network. The system selected for the project was a fully automated online integration system (NUTIS) developed by Northwestern University. The project started its operation in 1989 and a system office was established to ensure the completion of this fully automated project from an administrative point of view. Once the integrated system is operational, the library can get out of manual operation and into full automation. The results of this project have a positive impact on the decision-making process of library literature information, the distribution of job responsibilities, the simplification of organizational structure, the review of workload, the simplification of operation and the standardization of work planning. The integrated system has become the heart of the library. The same changes have taken place in the administrative and technical aspects of libraries.
