重大工程 金桥工程是朱镕基同志在1993年3月12日主持国务院会议提出并部署建设的我国重要的信息化基础设施和跨世纪的重大工程。1996年8月,金桥工程被正式批准为九五期间国家重点工程项目。金桥工程建设的任务是把我国已经建成和正在建设的国民经济信息化专项信息系统,把各个不同构架的专业网络和不同类型的计算机、信息源(数据库),通过经济、有效、合理的方式联系在一起,建设支持多协议和各种异构网互联的、公用的、开放的信息交换平台,并为公众提供网络服务和信息服务,促进国民经济信息化的发展。
